Boy Meets bloglovin’ Girl

People often ask me why I want to get into fashion, more specifically why I want to become a fashion designer. They ask me if I have any new ideas for clothing; any new concepts. My whole life I’ve been struggling to choose what i want to do with my life. I’m good at things that don’t really make a difference for me. I’m good at playing guitar, I’m good when it comes to computer design, I’m good at assembling outfits to create a certain look. I’m terrible at both math and science, I’m awful at speaking in front of others and I am probably the best procrastinator in the world. After years of second guessing myself, I’ve come to a conclusion that I can choose to do what I’m good at as a career path. Some things that inspire my style include: Food of course, The LOVELY Taylor Swift, Lookbook.nu(where I can view beautiful posts of special occasion and casual everyday outfits), some fashion bloggers like Tavi Gevinson, Lindsey Calla (Saucy Glossie), and the change of seasons throughout the year. Classic Hollywood is also another inspiration of mine; Audrey Hepburn’s timeless look is one of my favourites! Culture has also really influenced me and my style because without my culture I wouldn’t be the girl I am today. Lastly I am inspired by myself and how I think I’ve come a long way from the girl I was just a couple of years ago! I’m now more independent and I like for this to show through my style.  I just want to thank Stacy Igel, LOCKERZ, bloglovin’ and Cassandra Bankson (diamondsandheels14) for presenting me with the opportunity of a lifetime!

Thankyou!
Gina:)
